YIN-YANG
Selected Artworks

The Yin-Yang series represents a Western reinterpretation of the ancient Taoist symbol, a universal emblem of harmony between complementary forces. Through triangular geometries, the work evokes the dualistic principle: the ascending triangle, dynamic and solid, embodies masculine energy (Yang), while the descending triangle, fluid and welcoming, reflects the feminine essence (Yin).
Polarity is also expressed in the color scheme: blue, deep and meditative (Yin), dialogues with red (Yang), vital and impulsive, while textures amplify this dichotomy. Monochromatic sand-covered surfaces suggest stillness and receptivity, contrasting with vigorous, chaotic throws of color, a direct expression of Yang energy.
In the center, a Greek cross serves as a conceptual pivot: the intersection of the vertical (male) and horizontal (female) lines becomes a metaphor for unity and genesis. It is in the balance between these opposites that the eternal origin of life is celebrated.
