Selected Artworks

The Neptune series pays homage to the mythological archetype of the sea god, transfiguring its symbolism into a pictorial investigation of psychic depths. As in the previous Work and The Gold of the Earth series, Magnani pursues introspective research, but through a meditative register that privileges abandonment rather than conquest.
The sea becomes a plastic metaphor of the unconscious - a liquid space where light and darkness coexist in perpetual motion. The works suggest that the true treasure (that primal knowledge that Jung called “Self”) is obtained only through courageous descent into the inner abysses.
