The Work series represents a conceptual and technical evolution of the previous Gold of the Earth series, deepening the alchemical metaphor of the inner quest. Through a material language that combines combustions to pigments to pure gold, Magnani translates the process of spiritual refinement into visual form. The cinnabar red - spread in successive glazes and subjected to controlled fusion - embodies the Rubedo phase (phase to red) of the great alchemical work: that moment of passage in which raw material, after the long work of Nigredo, is transformed into noble substance. Surfaces worked with direct fire physically document the energy deployed in the transformative process, while golden inclusions emerge as manifestations of conquered purity. Each work functions as a symbolic crucible where the controlled burns testify to the necessary sacrifice and the gold 24kt the pure and incorruptible core, our inner treasure.

Technique

Technique: Panels of polymeric material fused by fire and/or hot air (800 °C) with applications of clays and sands, painted in acrylic and enamel with inclusions of stones, sands and 24kt gold.
