COSMIC HUG #1
Connecting Art and People together

THE CONCEPT
Collective works and social impact
Cosmic Hug is an art and social project conceived by Enrico Magnani in 2013, designed to evolve as a global and collective work. Through a series of mosaics made from painted tiles, the project combines art and humanitarian engagement, creating a symbolic network of connections between participants.
Each mosaic is composed of tiles owned by different supporters, including a central tile (No. 13), preserved by the artist, which serves as a living archive, preserving the history of the project through its pictorial layers. In fact, the central tile is repainted with each new edition, layering memory and transformation - a symbol of cyclical rebirth. The works become nodes in an ideal network that transcends geographic and temporal boundaries. Cosmic Hug adapts its visual language to new contexts and content related to the chosen humanitarian cause, always keeping its participatory structure intact, uniting artistic and philanthropic communities.
This first edition (Prague, 2013) began as an autonomous work, an artistic experiment on human interconnectedness through the language of mosaic. It was with the second edition that the project found its full conceptual realization, developing the philanthropic dimension (support for humanitarian causes), the long-term participatory structure, and The tessera-central mechanism as a living archive.
