This series of worksbrings together full-length sculptures that embody a formal language suspended between primitive, tribal and archetypal influences, even touching on suggestions that some might call extraterrestrial. The title “Totem” captures their essence: works charged with an ancestral solemnity, endowed with an authority that is both archaic and visionary.
Polymorphous heads - synthesis of human, animal and hybrid traits - become metaphors for the infinite identities that coexist in human beings. They represent the many facets of the self: those manifest and those buried in the shadows of the subconscious, social masks and intimate truths.
These creations, through their visceral impact, invitethe viewer to an unmediated dialogue. They are not works that allow indifference: they awaken primal echoes, stimulate questions about human evolution and, above all, act as mirrors for those parts of us that rarely find expression.
Technique
Works made of clay (white or red) dried and covered with a film of epoxy resin. Painted with enamelor au naturel.
