Pluto's Labyrinth Project - 2011

Pluto’s Labyrinth Project is a collection of multiples and unique artworks all based on the painting, by Enrico Magnani, “Pluto’s Labyrinth” (2007). The choice of creating a suite based on one painting is due to the relevance of the concept represented. The Chartres Labyrinth is one of the most important and famous labyrinth of the world; nevertheless the meaning remain hidden for most people. In Magnani’s re-elaboration, the Greek Cross, symbol of life (union of yin-female and yang-male) stays outside the labyrinth; in the center the Sun and the Moon, symbol respectively of male and female, are joint. A painting metaphor of our spiritual path in search of the origins; stimulating and questioning about the eternal mystery: “Where do we come from?”
