Enrico Magnani
elaborates symbols and, with an interpretative operation, hermeneutical,
they are transformed in the essence of art itself. In a modern virtual style
interpretation, the paintings become a metaphor of the idea, becoming color and
geometry. Also the technique takes a structural value inside the composition.
The alternation of a full-bodied paint with an uneven and lighter, built with
impalpable pigment making canvas texture sometimes visible, recalls the theme
of the opposites, and highlights the author’s cultural background based on
philosophy and science. Enrico Magnani presents artworks with universal meanings
because such are the alphabets employed: crosses, labyrinths, spheres design literary
and artistic topos from human traditions
and history and the eternal search for self-knowing and salvation.
