Enrico Magnani (Reggio Emilia, Italy, 1972) is an international artist who has already lived and worked in Italy, France and Germany. He has been educated in an artistic environment and began painting and drawing as a young child; on a parallel way he became a scientist in nuclear physics. Today he is also working as novels writer, on photography projects and short art movies. The study of ancient philosophies and traditions is a milestone of his cultural background.
His first painting exhibition opened November 1997 in Milan. Until 2006 he worked as figurative painter; after a transition period (2006-2007) he has become an exclusively abstract painter. His work has been presented in private galleries and public institutions in Italy, Austria, France, Germany, Czech Republic, Denmark, and USA. Enrico Magnani has been featured in several national publications in Italy, France, Germany, and Czech Republic; his work is currently curated by art critics Guido Folco and Elisa Bergamino.
Enrico Magnani’s present work is focusing on the creation of an artistic language based on archetypical symbols of ancient spiritual traditions to promote the inner development of the human being; as he likes to say about his creations:
"I do not pursuit an artistic style to shock or to please the public with my subjective vision of the world. I pursuit a language to express universal truths that cannot be communicated with words."
