I don’t want to be an artist of this time. I mean: I don’t want to catch the essence of this time, but I want to catch the essence of the time; I don’t want to catch the essence of the man of this time, but I want to catch the essence of the man. I know, it is a quite ambitious task, but there are so many artists that are in line with this time, that are catching these times in a very good way. All these artists that work with plastic, photography, computers, video, toys… they have very good techniques, some of them are like cameras… they are good reporters. I don't want to be a reporter, I try to be a researcher about inner principles and universal principles that never change, and nevertheless they remain hidden to most of us.

I am not looking for a style to shock or to flatter the public and to reproduce in series my personal vision of the world. I am looking for a language to express some universal truths that cannot be communicated with words.

* * *

In art, as in life, four things should be pursued: freedom, creativity, beauty, and evolution.

* * *

What can be written has to be written, what cannot be written has to be painted.

* * *

When I started painting I believed the human being to be the center, the beginning, and the end.
 On the way the Symbol came to me and said:
"I am the beginning, the center, and the end...  I am below and above...
I am the beast, the man, and the God."

 * * *

The mind has no power on the symbol: understanding it or not makes no difference:
the symbol works inside the human being producing its effects.

* * *

Art should not be only a nice or a smart idea come up in mind and reproduced in series. Art must have a superior meaning in order to help the human kind on the path of evolution.

* * *

Sometimes an artist must renounce to create something beautiful to create something meaningful.

* * *

When the technique of an artwork overcomes its meaning, art becomes decoration.
